Overview

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health recently updated and launched a web-based Hearing Protector Compendium. This compendium is a database of many of the Hearing Protection Devices that are purchased and used in the United States. The old version was paper-based and not very user friendly. Not only is this new database searchable by product types, such as ear plugs, ear muffs, etc., but it is also searchable by the NRR (the amount of protection required by the end-user), and by noise levels. This is an extremely useful tool for end-users. Please visit this site and look at it. You will see Moldex® products including NRRs, and features and benefits.

WARNING: The information contained in this Tech Brief is dated and was accurate to the best of Moldex’s knowledge, on the date above. It is not meant to be comprehensive, nor is it intended to be used in place of the warning/use instructions that accompany Moldex respirators. Outside of the USA, check with all applicable and local government regulations.
